Better than a measly apple

Other factors that don't involve traditional education which boosts brain power are listening to classical music, eating high protein food and getting sufficient sleep and rest.

Some tests have also shown that incorporating daily Sudoku doses into everyday routine helps prevent and even stall the onslaught of Alzheimer's disease. So the next time you get chastised for playing too much Sudoku, tell them that you're only trying to get smarter while preventing the dreading Alzheimer's.

But how does it actually work? Well Sudoku is a puzzle which entails concentration, logic and common sense. The more you utilize these skills, the better work out it is for your brain. Just like your body needs exercise, your brain needs daily workout too to keep in shape and ward off brain defects that come with the passage of time.
